A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food was good. The pizza was outstanding and I have ate a lot of pizza my 8 years living in Italy. Michael the owner is very friendly and welcoming. Take the time and stop here to enjoy a nice meal"
"We came here as a family of 4 adults and 1 toddler, and they were very accommodating to our request for a high chair. The staff were very pleasant and food was served at a reasonable time given the restaurant was full. We did ask for our son's pasta to come out first and unfortunately it was the last dish to come out, but thankfully he eats a lot of other things too so we were able to keep him occupied in the meantime. Food was fresh and delicious, especially my octopus starter and beef main."
"The food at Casa Mia Trattoria Pizzeria was outstanding, everything was flavorful, and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the dishes with seafood and pasta; they were delicious and well-prepared."
"A definite "must visit" when in Poligniano! Frendly staff, especially the owner. Food is tasty, especially the pasta. You can't go wrong with the pasta selection - it was jsut amazing! Also - the desert is also to die for! I would definitely recommend and revisit! They speak English and you can pay by card."
"Food was really good, the carpaccio, the tartare was well prepared and served and the deserts are great too! The place is packed tho, 3-4 tables should be removed because you are sitting with everyone else, someone bumps into your table or chair every minute, the poor waitresses dont have space"
"I have never seen such a wide choice of different grains for the pizza base. The option for lactose free cheese was a huge bonus for me. The calzone pizza I had was the best I have ever had hands down. One of the best meals so far in the south of Italy."
"Fantastic Experience! Gourmet Standards, you can easily find on most Gourmet/Fine Dining restaurants Service on a late dinner. We were recieved quite fast, as the restaurant has 2sections, it took a minute to figure out we wanted the restaurant and not pizzeria. We were presented at a table that was pulled a bit aside from a beautiful couple that was sat near us. They were fast to present the menus, both for food and wine. One waiter presented them both, and than asked us for water immediately (a big plus). We ordered sparkling and still, that came relatively fast. We looked at the menus for a bit, and as we closed them, another waiter was already attentive and came to take our order. A plus is that both waiters seem to know english. With the food order, a reccomendation for wine was asked from the waiter, he reccomended a rose, local wine for the Octopus. It was a good match. We also ordered a soda (a coke). And we asked for a white wine for the main dish, we also desired for ir to be local if possible. Coke came late, just as starters were served, no glass was offered (typical for Italy) Glass was never offered, during the whole dinner experience.... We ordered starters: Plates were served by a waitress, also seemed to understand english.. Rose was served before the starters came, good. And a tasting was served before the glass was filled, good. Bread was served immediately after (a plus) although, the bread pieces were uneven number... Bread Selection: two with tomato taste (pizza) two with sesame taste one with Canapa Italian "herb" 1. Octopus Tentacle...double cooked with pecorino waffle, carbonara mousse and bacon crumble. TASTE: octopus was grilled very well, mousse was strong but goes well with the taste, waffle was tasty, but powerfull in the taste, and the top bits were quite crunchy as they did not have as much of the mousse/sauce. 2. Aubergine - "Box" of aubergines with panko, "homemade" swordfish bacon, with burrata and roasted tomatoes. TASTE: was very nice, fresh with the oubergine being the star, and the tomatoes complementing it. Lack of seasoning or another ingredient to elevate the taste more. If eaten together both the Octopus and the Aubergine complement each other. MAIN DISH RISOTTO: Plates and cutlery were changed (a plus) Just a fork for the main dish, as it is a Risotto. The plate of the main dish was hot/warm, and that is good for the risotto. Seasoning was good, buttery with a hint of salt as it should. Almost perfect, the only thing to notice was that it was quite thick and could have used a bit more flow. The pea foam was very light, and was hard to taste, just a little bit more of it would work even better for the overall plate. (BIG MiNUS, the wine that was ordered for the main dish never came, and i had to ask for it). The Metre'D served the second wine, the wite i had asked for, but it was served directly, with no tasting. He did serve it with the wine etiquette towards me so i could read it. DESSERT: we asked for a reccomendation, and than we asked the waiter what his favourite was. He was hesitant at first, which make it seem a bit odd, as if he was not sincere, but we went for his "favourite" anyways. Spacial Tiramisu As i am biased and not a tiramisu fan, my friend will be describing the taste: (In Spanish, as he is from Spain) "tiene mucha cremosidad, pero le falta un poco de sabor a cafe y cierta amargura. quizas en italia sabe mas suave?" The only minus was the temperature, as we were sitting inside, if there was an AC unit, it was not very present. All in all, a place to visit, and we will be commomg back!"
"The food was good, the service was good, and the location is just in the middle of town. It is not at the historic center, nevertheless this place target tourists. Don't let it bother you too much, this is very touristic town...the prices are a bit high though..."
